Wow - a new blog post. A fresh page. It's been a while.
Seven years ago, my first post was right. I totally forgot about this space until a friend reminded me, and then when I looked back at it, I found that I really miss writing (and just general silliness 😁) I mean, Herman Weiners - c'mon! How can you NOT miss that?
What I find absolutely crazy, is that seven years ago I feel like I had so much more to say. Is that just unbridled youth? Feelings bursting at the seams and not having enough sense to realize that about 90% of those feelings are fluid and passing... that you'll wake up the next morning and the thought/feeling that tortured/exhilarated you the day before is gone.
Part of that scares me - like I've lost a piece of myself or that my spirit's been broken. And let's be honest... another part of me feels GROWN. 😎 It's nice to know that even intense feelings aren't permanent.. that life will go on and eventually... everything really will be okay.
Right now in my little tiny spot in the universe, everything is not okay. Time is rocket-ship fast, I'm not living up to my obligations, and every area of my life can be most accurately described as being "in transition". I'm not settled. I'm not focused. I'm not... happy.
I used to be happy.
Despite all this negativity - as previously mentioned... everything will be okay. I guess I'm scared and sad that even though I know that, I just know it less now. Is that age? Is that experience teaching me something? Is it just me becoming pessimistic? Indigestion? Probably indigestion.
Whatever the case - I do still firmly believe in the impermanence of feelings. So... that said, I'm looking forward to when I wake up tomorrow morning. 😌

Well now...
Wow... I honestly forgot about this little space in the interwebs. Looking over these old posts feels like reading someone else's words. I'm not going to lie though... I crack myself up.
Besides thoroughly enjoying myself reading about myself, I also can't help but realize that I feel my writing abilities have really gone downhill. The extent of my writing over the past three years has been mostly a bunch of "Please advise"s and "I hope your Monday is going better than mine! *yuck, yuck*" Corporate poo soup.
I'm also having a really hard time fighting the urge to write "lol" and use a ridiculous amount of emojis. It's so fascinating to me in just over a handful of years how much things can change.
Just maybe it's time to revive this space.

Awesome tip!
I just scored an awesome vintage watch at an estate sale... and somehow the little chain attached to it got a pretty gnarly knot in it. I was so bummed out because no matter what I did, I couldn't get that stinkin' knot out! Soooo... I did what I always do... run to the interwebs for help. =P
This is what I found from Yahoo Answers...
"Place the chain across the palm of your left hand with the knot in the middle of your palm.
Place the index finger of your right hand over the knot, pressing down lightly and rubbing the knot in a counterclockwise direction. Keep it up until the knot loosens, then use a pin to draw the ends through."
It worked perfectly! I think I've got a couple of other chains I almost gave up on I'm gonna have to give "the treatment". (Yep, that's what it's called now. =D)

Inspirational
So I found this online today... and thought it was worth a blog post. =) I love it.
Inner Strength
If you can start the day without caffeine or pep pills,
If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with
your troubles,
If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful
for it,
If you can understand when loved ones are too busy
to give you time,
If you can overlook when people take things out on
you when, through no fault of your own,
something goes wrong,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can do all these things,
Then you are probably the family dog.

Sweet, Sweet Success
So... just by way of an update.
We got the Radiohead tickets!! =D
I was pretty ridiculous about it... they said that the presale would start in the morning on a particular date. So what else could I do but wait from 12 a.m. on... until they finally went on sale at 6:15 a.m.? I know, I could have gone to bed... but then I wouldn't have gotten tickets. In my book... it was way worth it. I mean, if I couldn't stay up all night for Radiohead, I wouldn't stay up all night for any band.
So on March 5th... we'll be doing something I've been wanting to do since I was 14 and heard OK Computer for the first time.
Ahh... so happy. =)

.... =O
So... Radiohead is coming.... Monday, March 5th, 2012.
I am going to attempt to get tickets. Attempt. I tried once before and.. yeah, that didn't work. Those things sell out so fast it's ridiculous.
Oh I've got my "try really hard" face on now.... and this thing is gonna get done! (I hope...) =)
